Listen to Guns N' Roses new song, "Absurd"
It's actually a re-working of a track from Chinese Democracy, but Guns N' Roses has released a new song.
Guns N’ Roses is out on a tour right now, with a new album perhaps on the way some time (based on history, don’t hold your breath). In any case they released a new song, “Absurd”, this week.
“Absurd” is actually a reworking of a Chinese Democracy-era track called “Silkworms.” Chinese Democracy is of course the album G N'R worked on seemingly forever, which finally came out in 2008.
Without further ado, listen to “Absurd” below.
What do you think of it? I’ll just come out and say it-I give it a 0.5 on a scale of 1-5, and that’s probably kind. I gave it two full listens to make sure I felt that way. The “megaphone” effect over Axl Rose’s voice wrecks the whole thing, and nothing about it is particularly good. If nothing else, the song makes me want to dig out my old G N’R CDs, enjoy those and forget about this song that’s so bad it’s absurd.
