Watch Iron Maiden's "Fear of the Dark" performed by a huge orchestra (video)
With little or no in-person performances to do because of the pandemic, a 160-piece orchestra did an Iron Maiden cover.
The COVID-19 pandemic has rendered most in-person activities obsolete, including of course concerts. Classical musicians have felt the pinch too.
Ulf Wadenbrandt, conductor of the Sweden Symphony Orchestra and principal guest conductor of the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra, decided to adapt Iron Maiden’s “Fear of The Dark.” Mostly virtually, 160 musicians from across the world were brought together to perform it.
Check it out (be warned it’s 12 and half minutes long, but some cherry-picking can be done-I recommend the first minute or two).
