Metallica's third album was another step toward what came later for them, 35 years ago on Wednesday
Metallica lost and then won a Grammy for their third and fourth albums respectively, …And Justice For All and “The Black Album”. For many fans it’s a debate between those two for the band’s best album, though Ride The Lightning can’t be forgotten.
On Mar. 3, 1986, Metallica’s third album, Master Of Puppets was released. It’s also their last album with bassist Cliff Burton. More interestingly Rush frontman Geddy Lee was considered to be the record’s producer, but it did not come together.
