Iron Maiden releases new song and video

Iron Maiden has released their first new song in six years, with a cool-looking animated video

Since 2015’s Book of Souls, there has been no new music from Iron Maiden. Hints that would change this year have been out there, and now we have the release of a new song and an accompanying animated video featuring the band’s mascot, Eddie.

The story of Belshazzar’s Feast is from the Book of Daniel in the Bible, and the origin of the phrase “the writing on the wall”. Maiden’s music is full of Biblical references, so a new song that has even a tangential one is nothing new and no surprise.
